A lot of this month was spent up in stunning North Cumbria with Steeleye Span, working on our forthcoming album. It's beginning to really take shape and I'm so excited to see the tracks grow day by day. Watch this space!
I also did some recording for the multi-talented Julian Littman for his new album 'Trueville' that will be out later this year. Julian is an actor, singer, award-winning songwriter, unbelievable guitarist, engineer, producer, pianist, accordianist, mandolinist, banjo player... the list goes on, and awesome person. Basically I want to BE him. His tracks are sounding incredible. I'll pop a link up when 'Trueville' is released.
June was a busy month for weddings, corporate events and barmitzvahs, so I've been playing for Apollo Strings, Sahara, USO, House of Angels and Totem a lot. A highlight was playing for the opening of Christian Dior's new London flagship store with Urban Soul Orchestra. We played in a fragrant sea of delphiniums, with plenty of red carpet watching!
Steeleye headlined Maddy Prior's 'Stepping Stones Festival' and Beverley Folk Festival this month. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy playing live with the band after all the time spent in the studio writing and recording over the last month or two.
